Access to Clean Water
Our nation faces a workforce shortage in geoscience positions needed to access drinking water. This shortage presents an immediate need to showcase the careers and training critical to supporting our groundwater infrastructure. Oklahoma State University and the Groundwater Foundation have partnered to provide this public service announcement to spread awareness of the workforce shortage and the importance of continued access to clean water.

NGWA University
Oklahoma State University is a land-grant institution charged with solving real-world problems through academics and research. The National Ground Water Association is a world leader in groundwater education and training. Together, OSU and NGWA partnered to form NGWA University Powered by OSU (NGWAU) to address the national groundwater workforce deficit.

Through academics, research, and outreach, it is the mission of NGWA University to upskill the current workforce, train future groundwater professionals, and establish educational pathways and opportunities for students of all ages to pursue careers in groundwater.
